Job Description
As a barback/busser, you will be expected to be detail oriented and maintain cleanliness of the bar area, dining room, and restrooms. Clean and restock glassware/supplies from bar area. Provide refills of water to guests as needed. Remove used tableware between courses; clear, clean, and reset tables after guests leave.
Responsibilities include:

Prepare and stock garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks.

Restock and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

Remove used tableware from bar area.

Assist in clearing tables in dining room after guests leave.

Take soiled tableware to dishwasher and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area.

Between seatings in dining room promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.

Inspect restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed.

Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server and bartender as needed.

Communicate with server and hostess to ensure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.

Assist server and foodrunner as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.

Assist in nightly breakdown and cleaning in all areas of the bar.

Nightly cleaning of tables and chairs in the restaurant.

Nightly sweeping and mopping of all areas of bar and dining room.

Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Requirements

Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

High School diploma or GED.

Minimum of 1 year experience in food service/hospitality desired, but not required.

Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).

Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Have willingness to learn about beer and acquire Cicerone certifications.
-
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 160lbs.
-
Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.
