Job Description
As a Host/Hostess you will work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, environment to deliver the best dining experience to our guests by:

Greet guests upon arrival in a warm and gracious manner.

Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries in a pleasant and professional manner.

When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.

When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.

Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
-
Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
-
Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.

Sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return.

Receive and place Take Out Orders when applicable.

Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).

Operate Coat Check when applicable.

Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred.

Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.

Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.

Must have exceptional grooming habits.

Have willingness to learn about beer and acquire Cicerone certifications.

Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.

Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
